Speck CandyShell Grip for Galaxy S5

When a new smartphone gets released, you can almost always count on a Speck CandyShell and CandyShell Grip case for it. And that’s a good thing, because they’re both great cases. The CandyShell Grip in particular is one of my favorites.

Micro-SIM Shop adapters

SIM adapters are great when you need to switch between devices that don’t use the same-sized SIMs. Poorly made adapters can damage your device, so finding a good one is key. I decided to check out MicroSIM-Shop’s SIM adapters after reading about them on some mobile forums.

Fujitsu ScanSnap SV600

The SV600 is the latest document scanner for the ScanSnap brand by Fujitsu. It follows the successful ScanSnap iX500, launched just last year. It is, however, a very different beast and offers versatility you don’t normally get with standard document scanners. Scanning books, magazines, and even your kids’ artworks are all possible with the SV600.

Joby Pro Sling Strap

In recognition of National Photography Month, today I’m taking a look at the Joby Pro Sling camera strap. Sennheiser Momentum Ivory

Element Case Sector 5 Black Ops Elite

The Sector 5 Black Ops Elite case for the iPhone 5/5s is Element Case’s flagship case in their tactical line. Aside from the usual features of the Sector 5 case, the Black Ops Elite also uses G10, a durable plastic laminate normally used in handgun grips and tactical knives. I picked up a sample during CES and used it for several weeks. I really liked it for the most part, but had a couple of issues with it.

Kingston DataTraveler 100 USB3

USB flash drives are useful for a great many things. One of my favorites is turning them into bootable utility drives. Whenever I get a new version of OS X or Windows, I create bootable USB flash drives so I have hard copies of the OS installer. Another tool I use a lot is Parted Magic, a Linux-based utility. And while you don’t always need high-end flash drives for these purposes, a good one can go a long way to avoiding frustration and wasted time. I took a look at the Kingston DataTraveler 100 G3 specifically for use as a bootable drive after I experienced problems trying to create a bootable OS X Mavericks installer.
